The Enviara, unique to the layer of Invidia in The Hells, are beings of utter evil, neither devil nor demon, but wholly malevolent entities. They specialize in exploiting the sins of envy and jealousy among mortals.
In the layer of Invidia, Enviaras represent a unique and insidious form of temptation, using the powerful emotions of envy and jealousy to ensnare mortals. Their ability to embody the very essence of desire makes them formidable agents in the trade of souls, deceiving mortals into willingly forfeiting their souls for an illusion of fulfillment.

Innate Spellcasting. The Enviara's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 20). The Enviara can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: Charm Person, Detect Thoughts, Disguise Self
3/day each: Enthrall, Suggestion, Greater Invisibility
1/day each: Mass Suggestion, Plane Shift (self only)
Contract of Envy. The Enviara can create contracts that exploit a mortal's envy, offering them beauty, fame, or riches. The contract always comes with a hidden cost that leads to the mortal's downfall.
Shapechanger. The Enviara can use its action to polymorph into any humanoid it has seen, or back into its true form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Multiattack. The Enviara makes two attacks with its beguiling touch.
Beguiling Touch. Melee Spell Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by the Enviara for 24 hours. The charmed target is obsessed with the Enviara and will follow its commands.
Envious Gaze (Recharge 5-6). The Enviara targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become overwhelmed with envy. The envious target must use its actions to move towards the Enviara and can't attack or target it with harmful abilities or magical effects. The envy lasts for 1 minute or until the target takes damage.
The Enviara is designed to be a formidable and powerful fiend, adept in manipulation and deceit. Its innate spellcasting focuses on charming and deceiving mortals, perfectly aligning with its role as a tempter. The Envious Gaze ability highlights its power to exploit envy, while its shapechanging ability aids in its deceptive endeavors. The Contract of Envy ability emphasizes its core function of exploiting mortal desires at a great hidden cost.
