Superbrix

  • Specialty in Temptation: Pride and Arrogance, Superbrix are masters at exploiting human pride and arrogance. They seduce mortals by inflating their egos, offering them illusions of grandeur and superiority, and tempting them with the promise of recognition and fame that far exceeds their merits.
  • Physical Appearance: Majestic and Intimidating, Superbrix appear as magnificent and imposing figures, often resembling exaggerated, idealized versions of royalty or legendary heroes. Their form exudes an aura of false nobility and grandiosity, designed to appeal to the vanity and pride of their targets.

Innate Spellcasting. The Superbrix's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18). The Superbrix can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: Charm Person, Prestidigitation, Minor Illusion
3/day each: Greater Invisibility, Fly, Glibness
1/day each: Dominate Person, Plane Shift (self only)

Contract of Vanity. The Superbrix can offer contracts that inflate a mortal's ego and sense of importance, promising fame and adulation in exchange for their soul. These contracts often lead to the mortal's downfall through their own pride and arrogance.

Aura of Superiority. The Superbrix can use a bonus action to exude an aura of superiority in a 30-foot radius. Each non-demon creature in that area must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be disadvantaged in attacking the Superbrix, perceiving it as a superior and more powerful entity.

Actions

Multiattack. The Superbrix makes two attacks with its ego whip.

Ego Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 18 Intelligence saving throw or suffer disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws for 1 minute as their self-confidence is shattered.

Inflame Pride (Recharge 5-6). The Superbrix targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Charisma saving throw or become overly prideful and arrogant, attacking recklessly and suffering disadvantage on Wisdom and Intelligence saving throws for 1 minute.

The Superbrix is designed to be a demon that manipulates pride and arrogance. Its innate spellcasting focuses on charm and illusion, enhancing its manipulative nature. The Aura of Superiority ability and the Inflame Pride action are tailored to undermine opponents' self-confidence or inflate their ego to their detriment. The Contract of Vanity ability captures its role in luring mortals with promises of grandeur and fame, leading to their ruin through inflated self-importance.
