  • 3/day: Dissonant Whispers

Multiattack. The Eldritch Whisperer makes two tentacle attacks.

Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.

Mind Rend (Recharge 5-6). The Eldritch Whisperer targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw, taking 18 (4d8) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

The Eldritch Whisperer is a grotesque abomination that defies natural law. Its body is an ever-shifting mass of tentacles, eyes, and mouths, all emerging and receding into its form like a nightmarish tide. Its eyes are an unsettling shade of void-black, and its mouths whisper incomprehensible horrors that chill the soul. The creature moves with an eerie grace, its tentacles reaching out as if to caress the fabric of reality itself.

Combat Details

The Eldritch Whisperer prefers to stalk its prey from the shadows, using its innate spellcasting to disorient and isolate weaker members of a group. It then strikes with its tentacles, aiming to instill fear and confusion before finishing off its prey. If cornered or outnumbered, it uses its Mind Rend ability to lash out at the minds of its enemies, sowing further chaos.
