Chitobe

Welcome to Chitobe

Perched on the edge of the Andonia Sea, Chitobe is a town that thrives on the tides of commerce and diplomacy. With the older of the Twin Sister islands serving as its sentinel, the town is a bustling port that stands as a neutral ground between the warring empires of Jazirah and Irna. Ships from both empires dock here, their cannons silent, their sails furled in a rare truce. The air is thick with the scent of salt and spices, and the marketplace is a cacophony of languages and cultures. Beyond the docks, fields of grain and orchards stretch out, adding another layer to the town's prosperity.

Chieftain

At the helm of this intricate dance of trade and politics is Chieftain Lekan Jengo, a middle-aged Human male with a keen intellect and a diplomatic demeanor. His wife, Seraphina, is a Human female who runs a school for the children of Chitobe. Together, they have eight children, each pursuing different interests, from maritime law to agriculture.

Business

Under Lekan's leadership, three major businesses have become the pillars of Chitobe's economy:

Andonia Anchorage

  • Run by: Kaelum Frosthold, a diligent female Half-Orc
  • Business: Manages the port facilities, ensuring that ships from both empires can dock and trade peacefully.

Twin Sister Trading Co.

  • Run by: Elysia, a shrewd female Halfling
  • Business: Specializes in importing and exporting goods between Jazirah and Irna, from spices to textiles.

Chitobe Harvesters

  • Run by: Thalindra, a nurturing female Elf
  • Business: Oversees the town's agriculture, producing grains and fruits that are both consumed locally and exported.

Advisors

Lekan's inner circle includes his chief advisor, Varian Wyrmbane, a wise male Dragonborn skilled in international relations, and his bodyguard, Soren Vipercoil, a formidable male Tabaxi trained in various combat styles.

In Chitobe, the complexities of geopolitics are distilled into a community that thrives on cooperation and mutual benefit. It's a place where empires lay down their swords to pick up their scales, all under the watchful, diplomatic eyes of a leader who understands the delicate balance of power and peace.
